Culinary Arts is an introductory course for students to gain experience working in a kitchen environment, using professional techniques and equipment, while learning the principles of cooking and baking. Emphasis is placed on safety and sanitation, techniques, food preparation and conversions, weights and measurements. Student objectives will be focused on practical application of skills while preparing a variety of savory and sweet dishes.
